The beginners end of the drum market has been very competitive in the last couple of years and many new names have appeared in the market place. Usually priced between £250 and £350 this type of kit represents fantastic value for money with both cymbals and stool being included in the price. There has been little to choose between them until now. The SP series is a new name in the UK and has features not normally associated with kits in this price range. Most notable is the hardware which includes a better designed Hi-Hat and snare stand as well as cast bass drum spurs, tom mounts and cymbal tilters.
