This is the ultimate Musicman bass. This is a USA handbuilt Ernie Ball Musicman Stingray 4HH Family Reserve Limited Edition model. There are only 100 of these basses built for the entire world, about nine came into the UK. The best was picked out as the rep's sample. It was the most stunning of them all, with the most striking grain on the top and most figuring on the neck etc. As soon as the rep showed it to me and I learned it was the best, I knew it was the only one to have. This is the very bass. The bass features a classic Stingray Ash body style with a gorgeous Flame Redwood top that has a high gloss finish. The 34" scale sleek feeling Mahogany bolt-on neck has a Rosewood fingerboard and a "Ball Family Reserve" Mother Of Pearl inlay at the 12th fret which makes the bass an instant collectable item. The two pickups are the passive Musicman "Humbucking" type and they are run through an active Musicman 3-band eq. system with a 5-way pickup selector switch for a big variety of tones. Comes complete with a signed certificate from the Ball family and a Musicman deluxe hard case.
