This is a Martin D-41 Special acoustic. It is not a vintage instrument
and is not particularly rare, but has made it's way into this
category by sheer merit alone. It is simply one of the best Martins
we have ever seen. The solid East Indian Rosewood back and sides
are a cut above the standard normally used. The sound and playability
of this instrument are of a standard normally associated with
hand built custom shop acoustics. An aged toner in the lacquer
has been used to give the guitar that genuine vintage look and
the features are taken from historic Martin specifications such
as scalloped and forward shifted bracing, V neck shape and Gotoh
Gold Butterbean style machine heads. The Abalone inlay around
the body and soundhole is stunning. Comes complete with Martin
545 Geib style hard shell case.
