This is a 1950 Martin 000-18. It is a lovely little guitar. It
is becoming harder and harder to find genuine Vintage Martins
at affordable prices. This one is serial number 112970 which means
it was one of the first nine to be made at the start of 1950.
The guitar sounds wonderful, as only a 55 year old Martin can.
It is all original apart from possibly the tuners. It has a low
action and the nicest v profile neck that I have ever played on
a 50's 000. It has been re-finished at some stage in its life,
apart from the front of the headstock. It has just had a neck-set
and complete set-up by our Luthier and is now ready for another
55 years of playing. Have a look around and see if you can find
another one as good as this, for anywhere near our asking price.
