This is the nicest Gibson J-160E I
have yet come across. It dates back to 1956, factory order/batch
no: V7681-23. This is the Gibson model made famous by the Beatles
and in particular John Lennon. Electrically, it is pure Beatles
tone. It plays superbly with an action that would put many
electric guitars to shame. The neck is arrow straight and the
frets are in really good shape. This is a one owner guitar and the
person must have really cared for and cherished it, because it is
in beautiful condition for a 51 year old instrument. Everything is
original and pick-up, electrics, tuners etc all work fine. I think
it would be very hard to find a better 1950's J-160E than this
one, and at the cost of only a little more than a modern new one.
A great investment. Comes with period hard shell case.
